ACTIVITY SELECTED: BUS RESERVATION TO PARK IN LA CUMBRECITA VIEWPOINT

Description of the activity

La Cumbrecita viewpoint is one of the most visited place in the National Park. The parking area is very small, so only two buses and thirty-two cars can park there. For this reason a barrier has been installed in El Riachuelo since the year 2007. That way possible traffic jams are avoided.

Each firm, agency or private bus must respect the time booked to stay at the viewpoint. It must be taken into account that you must be at the barrier ten or fifteen minutes before the booked time to stay at La Cumbrecita.The guard at El Riachuelo will be able to stop the bus if, because of any reason, the bus parking area at La Cumbrecita is full or to avoid the pass to those who have arrived later than the time booked. The responsible person for the bus will have to present the reservation form to the guard at El Riachuelo (in the morning) or the guard in La Cumbrecita (in the afternoon).In case the firm, agency or private bus has booked two buses to park in the same period of time, each bus driver or guide will have to present the reservation form (It is not possible to use only one copy of the reservation form by both bus drivers or guides).This procedure will be acquired until it is checked as a good method to be stablished permanently, but in case too many anomalies are detected, the National Park will have the right to penalize the offender in the future.
