 THE PARK
The Aigüestortes i Estany de Sant Maurici National Park is located in the northwest extreme of Catalonia, in the heart of the Pyrenees range. Its valleys, with peaks over 3.000 meters, keep a treasure with magnificient representations of the main elements that caracterize the pyrenean mountanins, as its geological phenomena and its flora and wild animals. But, the water is surely the most characteristic element of the Park, where more than 200 lakes are dispersed over all its territory, giving to this natural area of special environmental protection a very inusual and unique value.
